  • When they are 7 months old there isn't that much they can do but it's a great time for strengthening your relationship. Yeah, they can't walk or talk yet BUT if you keep on talking all day and reading him SHORT stories you will certainly start to see more reactions from him.

Some toys and fun things you can try:
pull toys - toys on wheels that have a pull string on them that baby can pull to him
soft balls with rattles and chimes are fun and interesting for this age. If the ball is soft they can grab it and hold it easily. They will also enjoy the sound
since he is pulling himself up he wants to explore. Let him pull himself up and find something. Put some of his favorite toys on the couch cushion for example for hm to discover when he pulls himself up
he isn't too young for 1.75" blocks. He will enjoy watching you stack them and will like looking at the colors and pictures on these blocks.

  • You can do finger painting with him. use pudding and things instead of paint. You can do a puppet show with him, have water play or noodle play. you can lay out a few toys and make a obstacle course for him. Have him crawl over a pillow, and then around something. He will follow your lead. You can also get texture books to teach him the different feels. Take him outside and have sand play, make some rattles out of old things in your house and have a little band.

  • FWIW, You aren't really supposed to "put them in front of" baby movies. You are supposed to watch it together and encourade participation. He would still be learning from you and it would help. Also, try reading to him. Makes sure you are talking non-stop to him and saying and pointing out everything you and he are doing, it will encourage talk. Maybe even try signing with him.
