hcG levels and age

I realize that some women are extremely lucky and are able to get that BFP much sooner than the rest of us. Does being older have anything to do with not being able to see the hcG levels sooner in pregnancy tests?

I took a test a couple days ago and it was negative. I expected it to be but the waiting has been driving me nuts. Will those couple of days make a difference?

  • Sometimes the older you are the longer it takes. I'm not sure why. But yes, a couple of days could make the difference. Best of luck :) And if you're impatient (like me) you can always request a blood test from the dr. It should show on there :)
