Does anyone know of a cream or lotion for severe dry skin?

My legs have become very dry and I need something that will work to get them moistened again. They are so bad they look like the dirt on a water puddle when it is dry. (cracked like) Anyone have a good suggestion?

  • It sounds crazy but you can use the eczema cream they sell at wal-mart or use baby oil mixed with vasaline.

  • Those were the two I was going to say, oh and make sure you lotion up a couple times a day so they keep the moisture!

  • Coacoa butter; when skin is chaffed like that aveeno's not gona cut it( I have eczema). Or any thick non pefumed lotion that takes some time to absorb. After your showers or baths air dry and add the lotion until skin remoisturizes after a couple of days.

  • Dry skin can be both an inside and outsite issue.
Are you drinking enough water? You should be drinking at least 8 8oz glasses a day.
Are your eating good fats? Avocado, nuts, olive oil, flax oil. If not, try supplementing with flax oil caps.
Now, I second the vote for Eucerin.

  • I actually use MaryKay Extra Emollient Night Cream. It's AWESOME! If you don't want to buy it from a MaryKay consultant I am sure you can find some on Ebay :)

  • All of the answers were great. I will pry try everything you suggested but I have to choose what I am going to do first...so my best answer is going to be trying the exzema cream from walmart. If that doesn't work then I will go down the list and try each of the suggestions. (by then I should be moistened up pretty good!) LOL
