Would you ever buy handmade cards?

Hello Moms!
I'm in a position where I really need money, so i thought I would make handmade cards to sell. I have a lot of materials, and everything for it. Just one thing I'm not sure of, is would people buy handmade cards or not? What do you think?

  • Yes people would buy them. My friend and I sell ours online at www.everythingstamped.com .  We don't have people flooding in but we do get some orders.  You just have to advertise it well.

  • Sure I would. Nothing better than something made homemade form the heart! There's also a great Etsy group on Cafemom with loads of Moms who make cards, clothing, accessories, etc., by hand.

  • They'd have to be really nice, and not any more expensive than store bought cards because otherwise I'd either make my own, or just buy one from the store.

  • If they were affordable and cute, I might.

  • A lot of people do. I wouldn't, because I have an in-house artist who makes any cards I need (my daughter.) We have thought about selling some of hers, though.

  • heck yeah, but I am pretty crafty so I generally end up making that stuff myself. But if I couldnt then yes I would. MOst people are not crafty so I think you have a lucrative business Idea. Marketed to the right people of course.
