Does anybody know how to get the smell of urine out of a mattress?

Our son sleeps in our bed and his diaper leaks sometimes. Ewww!

  • You can try Nature's Miracle but put a waterproof pad under him whenever he comes in.

  • I'd wash it (not soak it) with baking soda & water then when dry I'd spray it with Odoban then do like jeanclaudia suggested, use a waterproof pad for him.

  • You can try mixing some baking soda with a small amount of tea tree oil. Then rubbing it on the mattress dry. Let it sit for 30 minutes and then vacuum it off. It worked for urine on my carpet.

  • I agree with Nathskitten. Baking Soda is good. You can also try Totally Toddler. You can buy it at Baby's R Us. I used it to get out breast milk stains, cherry and grape koolaid from carpets, etc. It smells like baby powder too. Good Luck.

  • Is there anywhere else I can buy Totally Toddler? I don't have a Babies R Us.

  • I use the rug washer on my bed about once a week. We also have a leak proof cover that nothing gets through. Also have you tried huggies overnights that pretty much solved our problem with the diaper leaking.
