need an egg bake recipe please help

Mothers Day Brunch is our theme this year and I would like to bring an egg bake. But, I really need a good one . My mother is hard to please. So a tried and true recipe would be great , I don't want to just open the cook book and make anything. We don't do much for brunches we usually go out but, not everyone can agree on the resteraunt . So, new game plan this year. HELP!!!!!!!!! And thank you in advance.

  • I've made this for years. Can be doubled.

    Cheese Strata

    Bake at 325 F, 1 hour 15 minutes, 6 servings

    6 slices white bread
    2 Tbl margarine
6 slices ¼ inch low fat American cheese
1 10-oz pkg frozen asparagus cuts, cooked and drained
    2 cups skim milk
    4 slightly beaten eggs
    2 TBs snipped parsley
    2 tsp prepared mustard
    ½ tsp salt
¼ -1/2 tsp red pepper sauce

    1. Spread bread with margarine on one side. Lay 3 slices, spread side up, in 10 X 6 X 1 ½ inch greased baking dish, cutting to fit dish. Top with three slices of cheese, asparagus, cheese, bread (spread sides down.)
    2. Mix remaining ingredients except paprika, pour over bread, sprinkle with paprika, cover and refrigerate at least 8 hours.
heat oven to 325, bake 1 hr. 15 min.

  • Colloquial term for an egg-based breakfast casserole, I think. You know, I haven't ever found a really great one, but this was good: Christmas Breakfast Casserole  Read the remarks in the reviews, though.
