Why is my House Vibrating?

This is SO strange! We've lived here over 22 1/2 Years!! This has never happened! But we hear a strange loud Vibration noise!! We live in the rural country, Nothing is on the road, Driving by, nothing moving or running to do this! Close to 1/2 Mile Away A Neighbor is getting Topsoil Delievered but could it cause our house to rumble/Vibrate only for A few Seconds at A time?? Any Clues Smart Ladies? We're puzzled!! Maybe we're sitting on Black Gold, Texas Ahh.. WI. Tea?? Oil? A Gold Mind? Okay Dreaming....

  • It probably could cause it...I had the same thing happen once. I finally realized they were driving big machinery around way down the road.

  • Do you have a sump pump? Ours makes a weird vibrating sound when it kicks on...and it RARELY ever kicks on so it scares me everytime.

  • Do you have a well pump? a sump pump? some times these items can do this if something is wrong with them or as one poster says when it turns on.

  • I live in an area where there are many wind power turbines. I've read in the local paper that many "neighbors" (like even 10 miles away) are complaining from the effects. Noise, vibration, etc. Got anything like that going up near you?
