We've been hit locally with the swine flu here several cases confirmed.
What we're seeing in the past ten days is another virus. It produces sores in the mouth, lips, throat, high fevers, achy all over pain, cough. Some kids have had seizures due to the fever. The kids all get the sores on their lips and gums appetites decreased cosideribly. They get chills as well which I'm sure is due to the body fighting the fever. It seems to last a week. Really bad the first few days. It is really hitting the younger set hard. What is this flu? I'm wondering is it a variant of the swine? They don't seem to be testing here to see what is causing this outbreak but they're taking strep tests which come out negative for strep. So what is this?
