Your 12 month old's schedule

I was just wondering what other 12 month olds do and eat during the day, and what times they do it. I'm trying to get my son on a schedule.

  • my girls both were on table food at this age they weren't on baby food anymore or formula so they ate breakfast when they got up, lunch at around 11 or 12 then dinner at like 5 or 5:30 then in between that i give them snacks and things like that

  • my son was also on table food at that time and had pretty much the same schedule as mommy5409's daughters. Weekends have always been a little more free range but breakfast is oatmeal, eggs, pancakes, etc... what ever we were eating, same for lunch and supper. he has thrived on it!

  • what about bottles of milk? How often do they have that?

Answer by MandyAshley at 4:26 PM on Apr. 30, 2009

  • I give them milk with breakfast, lunch and dinner to get in there 3 glasses of milk or sometimes just lunch and dinner, but they at least got 2 cups of milk a day and again my girls were off of bottles at 12 months and drinking out of sippy cups. My oldest took herself off a bottle at 9 months so i would put formula in a sippy cup until a year and then my youngest was 12 months to the day i took her off the bottle

  • My son is 11 months ... this is a generic schedule for him:

    8am: Wake up
830am: Breakfast - an Eggo waffle, a Stage 3 Fruit, a 6 oz. bottle of formula
    930-11am: Nap
11am: Snack - Puffs, Lil Crunchies, etc.
    130pm: Lunch - Puffs/Lil Crunchies, a Stage 3 Veggie, a 6 oz. bottle of formula
    3-430pm: Nap
    630pm: Dinner - Puffs/Lil Crunchies, a Stage 3 Dinner, a 6 oz. bottle of formula
    830pm: Bedtime

  • When mine were a year old they ate what we ate. They had three meals a day and two snacks. They had about 8oz of milk in a straw cup (done with bottles at 6 months) with each meal, for each snack they had about 8oz of juice/water mixed and some sort of fingerfood.

They pretty much were on the same schedule they had set for themselves at about 6 months....

    (times approximate! lol)

snack (mid morning) (they gave up the morning nap right about this age)
1:30...snack then nap (roughly 2-3 hours)
