My dd has a 19 month old and has been tryin to get pg again. Her and her dh have really tired hard for 3 straight months and not pg yet..When should we be concerned? Just seems like to me she had no problem the first time, they only tried a month ans she was pg..She is really getting depressed b/c frankly they tried every day for those 3 months.

Should she see her ob./gyn soon after trying again 3 months in a roll?

  • I had my 1st baby Aug, 2002. Needless to say the first time I had sex with the guy, I ended up pregnant. And i am now married 2yrs to someone better, and we haven't gotten pregnant yet. And we've been together for 2 1/2yrs.

  • If she has already had a healthy pregnancy that resulted in a healthy baby, I wouldn't be too concerned until they've been trying for a year without luck.

  • I agree: most OBs wouldn't even consider seeing/treating her until she'd been actively TTC for at least a year.

  • Unless she has some sort of obvious problems like missing or irregular periods her doctor won't really look into anything until she has tried for a year. About 85% of healthy couples trying to get pregnant do so within one year, so there is no reason to be worried after only 3 months.

  • when she stops trying then she'll probably get pregnant but she could get checked to make sure there is no problem

  • Well depending on her age, i would see a specialist if shes 30 and over should take longer then 3months, to 6months, i wouldnt wait i would defently get some help.

  • It took 5 months for me the second time, 1 WEEK the fist time... I would just give it time, like a PP said, she needs to be TTC for a year,or 6 months if she is older, before a doctor will see her.
