  • Here are a few recipes I found for you. They are to be made with either cloth or paper towels
1.)2 TBSP Baby Wash (choose a natural wash!)
    2 TBSP Olive Oil
    2 Cups water
Mix well in a spray bottle or your wipes box. Spritz on wipe before using if in spray bottle. Swish solution around over wipes if using a wipes box.

    2.)2 TBSP Baby Wash
2 TBSP Olive Oil or 1 TBSP Calendula Oil
    2 Drops Tea Tree Oil
    2 Cups Water
Mix well in a spray bottle or your wipes box. Spritz on wipe before using if in spray bottle. Swish solution around over wipes if using a wipes box. Tea Tree Oil has lovely disinfectant properties along with its wonderful, clean smell.

    3.)1/4 Cup Aloe Vera Gel
    2 Drops Tea Tree Oil
    2 Cups Hot Water
Stir or shake until this recipe is well mixed. Don't use until the mixture cools. Spritz on wipe before using if in spray bottle. Swish solution around over wipes if using a wipes box.<

  • I bought cloth wipes (which can be also be made by cutting up old fleece, T-shirts, or old receiving blankets) and soaked them in a little plain water in the diaper warmer. Sometimes I'd add a drop of tea tree oil or lavender. My DF and his dad kept thinking they were disposable wipes and proceeded to keep throwing them away in our Diaper Genie. They've ruined the experience for me, so I went back to using 'sposie wipes. There are tons of recipes in the CD groups or in the Organic/Natural groups. Good luck.

  • 4.)2 Drops Tea Tree Oil
2 Drops Lavender Oil (Please be sure to use only pure essential oils - don't use synthetic oils.)
    2 Drops Chamomile Oil
    2 Cups Water
    1 Vitamin E Cap
Cut open vitamin E caplet and squeeze into the water, and add essential oil drops. Mix well in a spray bottle or your wipes box. Spritz on wipe before using if in spray bottle. Swish solution around over wipes if using a wipes box.

  • Wouldn't the oils be too harsh on baby's bottom? I had never thought about making wipes, that's interesting though!

  • When I run out of wipies...I just grab some paper towels from the kitchen and wet them and use those...lol or if I don't have even those I get a wash cloth and wet it. But sometimes thats a lil gross to me so I just take off my babys diaper and stick his butt infront of the sink and squirt some baby wash in my hand and just wash his tooshie and dry him and put the new diaper on him. lol. it all works the same. u gotta do what u gotta do right?
