  • I think it kind of depends on the age of the mother... I like things like plaster handprints from my kids, but would go with a poem I wrote for my mom...

  • Pictures blown up of kids/Grandkids.. You can even send them to walgreens.com and make them black, sephia, etc.. borders, etc. all for under a dollar and then pick them up.

Or make your own Gift basket for the person: get a basket from the dollar store, and do a "theme" with it.. like a "spa basket" or "movie night basket" or "cooking basket"... ex: spa: bath and body products, nail polish, relaxing C.D., etc... Movie night: fav movie (s), microwaveable popcorn, fav. candies, fuzzy socks, etc. Cooking: Utensils, spices and sauces, recipe book ( for their own recipes, and or a Cook book, etc.

  • I honestly haven't done this but, I'm seriously considering trying to do my own bouquet of fruit. I go to my local produce mart for great deals. I figure based on the pics they show on the websites  they sell them on, & the fruit bouquets I've bought in the past, I could figure it out as I go. I think those are great gifts anytime. Plus, based on the age of your kids they may be able to  help with G-ma's gift. I know my Mom would love it (& so would I :)

  • I really like the recordable picture frames! What mother or grandmother wouldn't love to hear their little one saying "Hoppy Movver's Dye!" or "I wuv you Ma Ma!" LOL

Would be a really nice keepsake too listen to years later when the child(ren) are grown (if the recording mechanism doesn't deteriorate?!) :o)

  • time for her to do what she wants w/ or w/o the kids. For your own mom or grandmothers, time/visit with them.
