The "Making Work Pay" Credit? You may have to pay it back

http://finance.yahoo.com/news/INSIDE-WASHINGTON-Rude-apf-15091434.html?.v=1

As a tax preparer I was afraid this would happen so I advised my clients NOT to change their w-4's. Has anyone changed their w-4? Is this one more "goof" made by this administration?

  • It doesn't surprise me.

My hubby already changed his W-4. He has them take out more anyway to help offset the income from my business.

My sister recently asked me about this and I am glad to know my suggestion to change her W-4 was the right one!

  • Unfortunately, as a tax preparer, I'll get to hear all the moans and groans of people who will either be getting less back as a refund next year, or they will owe just a bit. What a shame. And we prof. get blamed for most of this. LOL I think i'll give them the Pres. tele phone number and have them make calls to Washington. hahaha
