  • Mostly what the other posters said. If you live in ohio, then you are fucked. Here if an employee does something like that, you are supposed to get a HUGE fine, fired and any employee that was around you gets in trouble for not reporting it. Your boss may get in huge trouble too.

Sometimes instead of all that, the whole store will have to take an "harrassment(or whatever it is called. I havent worked in retail in months)" meeting.

  • did you speak of sex in front of a customer? You will probably just get a warning unless a child heard you then you might get suspended or fired...or possibly hours just cut back which is usually against the law so I wouldnt woryr TOO much hun just watch your mouth in public. You wouldnt wanna hear someone talking about sex loudly for you to hear or your kids right? GL hope everything works

  • well shes saying her daughter was there with her. i mean i remember talking about this but im pretty sure im ust going to say the woman didnt like me or something because she couldnt use an expired card or something. thats usually what we tell people when they complain about us.

  • Well first off, don't say she just didn't like you....don't respond to it with a lie. Own up to it. Most likely you'll get a verbal or written warning. Apologise to your boss and say it won't happen again. Because talking about sex in a store designed for children....or on any store floor is completely inappropriate. Businesses hire staff that they believe are honest, qualified to perform the job and know how to conduct themselves around customers and offer great customer service. You shouldn't be standing around talking about sex, you should be helping kids choose what animal they want and help them enjoy the magical experience!

  • a boss is more likely to loose respect for you if you blame it on a customer, than if you own up to what you said, and tell them it won't happen again.

By placing the blame elsewhere, the boss is going to see this as a sign of you not willing to take responsibility, and they may fire you for this, because it shows lacking on your end.

If you admit to what you did and take full responsibility, the boss is more likely to see that you've seen the error, and will work extra hard in correcting it in the future. It shows promise, and a boss is more likely to just give you a warning.
