Did one of your parents pass away when you were at a young age?

My sweet Dad passed away when I was 18. I'm 39 now and I miss him. I think about him often. My mom is still alive and I cherish our relationship.

  • My dad may as well have died because when he left there was no more contact!!! He left when I was 3. My grandpa who I respected and admired passed when I was 10.5, I was the 1 who found him!!!

  • My mother died when I was 14 of metastatic colon cancer. She was 37 years old. As I get closer to that age, despite being tested for colon cancer, I still get a little freaked out.

  • My husband's mom died of breast cancer when he was 2. He and his older siblings have really suffered though he less than them, being so young. He missed basic things but did have his grandmother from time to time. Sorry you're missing your Dad. He's around you all the time though.

  • Everyone ~ I am deeply sorry for your losses. I pray for your peace and comfort and that one day you will be reunited with the loved one(s) who were torn from your lives.

I lost my mother and 4 y/o brother on September 15, 1978, to a dreadful car accident when I was 11 years old. The pain is still with me today, but I know that someday, by the grace of God, we will be reunited.

    Bless you all and...
