when do babies usually hold their heads up completely for a long amount of time?

i know it varies but just an estimated age.

  • I find with mine it went by rank! My oldest daughter is 8 and she didn't lift her head up until 1-2 months, my 5 yr old at 2-3 wks, the twins: b, at 3 days, g, day after born!!! I was amazed with how alert she was and she was as tiny as a bird but she wanted to look around when I had her lying on my chest! No lie this is how it was!!!

  • my daughter was holding her head up at birth

    my nephew was holding his head up about 3 weeks

  • My baby is 8 weeks and has been holding her head up for a while now, probably since at least 6 wks.

  • My little girl was born being able to support her head. I think every baby is different.
