Upside down container growing

Has anyone successfully tried the upside down containers? We put in a tom. plant a week ago. A few of the branches begin shriveling so the hubs thot I might be overwatering it. How can I know?

  • My inlaws do tomatoes upside down. But they made their own container with a 5 gal paint bucket. You can buy them empty. They cut a hole in the bottom and planted it. I guess you could drill smaller holes around the big one so excess water can flow out. Anywho, it worked well for them.

  • I saw those upside down one on TV and I wasn;t sure about it. I did think it would over water it because all the water would pool around the roots so It's definatly a possibility.
