I am having major sleepy time issues! HELP! she wont go to bed before midnight :(.

i've tried everything from classical music, to dimming the lights to turning them off completely, to singing lullaby's, rocking her, bathing her, i don't know what else to do. Help!

  • does she take a late nap during the day? is she sleeping really late, look at the rest of her sleep schedule (if she is over 6 months) and see where you can adjust it so that she will go to bed at a reasonable time. if shes still younger than there really probably isn't much more you can do other than try to get her to bed. if shes about 4 months you could try to let her cry it out and see if she will fall asleep earlier and sleep through the night

  • she could be going through a growth spurt too. they tend to not sleep as much when they go through one....

    i wouldnt do cry it out method... they dont really understand and comprehend the reason for that until they are about a year and a half...
    would you wanna cry yourself to sleep at night? its sad :(
    also, if she is just content and not crying, you could try putting her in her bassinet or pac n play or whatever ou have and put it next to the bed and have her lay there and you could doze off and get some sleep. and when she cries, just wake up and tend to her as needed.
