My daughter is 7 months and breast fed...

But since about yesterday evening she has not had a wet diaper. Not even when she woke up this morning, and that diaper is usually soaked. I still feel my milk let down when I nurse her, but I'm afraid she's not getting enough if there's no pee.

What do I do now? Should I give her formula or wait a while? I've been drinking plenty of water and I eat oatmeal everyday, My dr. suggested for me not to take mother's milk tea a while ago due to some allergies I have-so that isn't an option.

She does eat solids 3 times a day, but nurses 5-7 times a day, and I always offer breast before solids so she'll fill up on that before solids.

  • I would give it a few more hours and see if she gets a wet diaper. If she is acting normal I would think she would be ok to wait awhile longer to see if she does.

  • Yes, I'd wait, but not too much longer, before notifying the doc.

  • I'd wait and cut back on solids a bit at 7 months 3 meals of solids aren't really needed at all so cut back on everything but nursing and up nursings to see if that helps

  • Just wait. If she's acting normal, it'll probably happen soon.
