Looking for a new camera...

I am in need of a new camera. The one we have now is okay, but it takes forever for the flash to "load" and it doesn't take good action shots.
With our first baby coming in August, I am wanting to get a new one, since I know that I will be taking TONS and TONS of pictures! And, it's not like I can pose the baby just so the camera I have now can load!!
So, what type of camera do mom's of infants/ young children have? Do they take good pictures?
(I want to spend no more than $300)

  • We have a cannon. Its really good, even though I havent gotten the hang of all the buttons. It was kinda expensive though (DH bought it).
I used to have a great poloroid camera I got from Target. I loved that thing!!! It was only like $130 with the memory card too.
Make sure you get one thats at least 8 megapixels.
