  • Treated differently By whom and treated differently THAN whom. I'm a single parent and I'm not aware of being treated differently than anyone else by anyone.

  • I'm not a single mom anymore, but I was for a long time. I didn't get treated differently. I did lose a job because of having to take off work too many times for the kids, but rules are rules.

  • I am a single mom, and I sometimes get treated as if I can NEVER complain about having a hard day with my dd, because "Well, you chose to have a baby without a husband, so deal with it!" It's very frustrating. Everyone has a bad day every once in awhile. Even single moms!

  • i definetly feel like people treat me different..especially the moms at preschool..they look down on me because im younger than them, and because im not married..and it royally pisses me off, because here i am, doing everything they do for their kids and im doing it 100% on my own..i pay for preschool, i pay for swimming lessons, i pay for her to be in dance/soccer, i pay rent, i pay bills, everything..and do i have lotsa money?? no!! im a frickin single mom, who's a cashier, making a lil more than min. daughter has soooooooooo many clothes, she has everything she needs, plus why they look down on me, is beyond my wildest dreams!!!!!!!! but it pisses me right off!!!!!

  • I was a single mom, still kind of am (with someone but not married yet). And I've actually been asked not to come back to a group held at my church, because they said being as I was a young single mother (I'm 21 year old) it would give the group a bad image. I've lost friends due to having kids at a younger age, and I get wierd looks in the store (granted I do look like I'm 16). But you know what people can stare, and kick me out of where ever cuz I'd never change my life for anything!!!
