How do you get sticky from medical tape off skin?

My DD had a sleep study last night and they put things all over her face. I can not get the sticky off. I have tried soap and warm water, and baby wipes. All the dirt is sticking to it and she looks quite a mess. I dont want to take her to daycare like this tomorrow.

  • Yep, a cotton ball and rubbing alcohol. You really have to rub in one direction pretty vigorously for it to work.

  • Oh sure to apply an ointment like Aquaphor afterward. Her skin might be a little raw.

  • Yep. When I did my sleep study and when I had my surgeries, I had to use a warm cloth with rubbing alcohol. It kinda hurts because it takes some "serious rubbing"!!! Sorry....maybe let her have a sucker while you're cleaning it off....Good luck.
