  • make sure she has something to look at like some toys in front of her or one of those activity bars that can lay down or pop up for her being on her back. She still needs the tummy time whether she does anything or not because it will help her in a lof of ways. But putting toys in front of her with stimulate her mind and eventually she will reach for them. And she will start doing things at some point.

  • My son hated tummy time. I found the only thing that would work, where he could actually see, was with one of those small boppy pillows!! They sell really cute ones (pink or blue!) at Target or Walmart. There probably around $20. It just helps give them a little boost to look around easier and a lot more support! And, they're a lot less crabby which means more tummy time!

  • It's extremely frustrating in the beginning, babies don't do much of anything at seven weeks xD The Boppy was a lifesaver for me, my daughter was able to get her tummy time in and could still see everything.

  • Yeah, just start with a few minutes a day. She's not strong enough yet to do much while on her tummy (or in any position lol) but that's how she develops her strength.

  • Put her on your chest on her tummy. Its the same thing, but she will want to look at your face. My daughter was holding her head up on her own for up to 30 seconds at a time by 10 weeks old by doing this.

  • Baby Einstein has a great and cheap tummy time mat

  • I didn't do tummy time and my daughter is fine. As long as they aren't getting a flat spot. She plays on her tummy now that she is rolling.
