  • My son had an upper respiratory infection really young. They wouldn't do anything for it but told me to use a cool mist humidifier. They will not diagnose with asthma this young. I thought my baby had it too and my pediatrician said they will not diagnose that until age 3 unless there's family history and severe symptoms. I'd make an appointment with your pediatrician tomorrow to make sure it's not croup.

  • i have no idea. my son never had this or anything like this until he was 1 1/2 with a cold. I would call your dr. or a health clinic to get it checked.

  • A bark is most likely croup. There isn't much the doc can do for it but I would have it checked out any way. Why exactly do you think babies aren't supposed to have a cough though? That comment worries me a little. Do an online search for natural remedies for croup. I give my kids chamomile tea with honey and echinacea for coughs, but the honey is a no no until they hit 1 year old.

  • If the cough isn't going away then take your baby to the doctor, my son was having asthma like symptoms and his doctor had him on breathing treatments for a while and it finally cleared up and we haven't had problems since.
