I am using cedar boxes to grow some veggis. Do I put just soil in the box or a mixture of soil and fertilizer?

  • this is what I do... mix your soil, some miracle grow and I also mix dried egg shells...
    make sure you have small drain holes also... don't want to much water being retained in
    your boxes...

  • Oh also pnwmom...are your boxes lined? you may want to consider lining them too... I believe there are plant liners (plastic, but non-toxic) this preserves your cedar boxes longer... just a thought
