So listen, this is the fool-proof, pain-proof way to remove ticks.

1. Wet a cotton ball and add a small amount of soap.

2. Place over tick and firmly rub in COUNTER-CLOCKWISE circles until the tick comes out (usually stuck to the cotton)

Always works, we learned in the most tick-infested place we ever lived from a vet. The tick actually screws it's head into the skin in a clock-wise direction, so the with this method the legs get tangled in the cotton and you are literally un-screwing it's head. I should know, I've removed hundreds of ticks (no exaggeration!) DH had Lyme's 7 times.

Go forth and be tick-free!

You're welcome ;-)~

  • Thank you! My mom used to do all kinds of wierd stuff, like light a match, blow it out, and put the tip to the tick really quick, or use a Sharpie to "kill" it, just wierd stuff. I'm almost hoping someone gets a tick so I can try this! LOL!
