I think there is some information lacking still. How much of your child's calories come from food? The problem with weaning at any time is that your child can still have a dependence on you for their sole nutrition.
The first thing you need to work on is getting your child on good foods or a toddler formula. Toddlers tend to want to drink their calories. If you are comfortable with the amount of food she is eating nutritionally, it makes it easier.
Even if your one year old is completely different from a newborn, the baby is still not developed as they will be in eating at 18 months or two. You can try to make eating a variety fun by having a grazing tray for lunch.
