  • Have her help with naming the babies, getting ready for the nursery, putting things together for the babies and tell her she has her own job as a big sister. Keep her involved. She will come around.

  • There are books in the library about bringing a new baby home. Your daughter may be wondering if you will love her as much. So you can play games with stuffed animals- a mommy bear and her little bear. The mommy bear hugs and loves the little one. Then the mommy bear brings home two baby bears and loves them. and the mommy bear gives lots of hugs to her older little bear. And the older little bear hugs the babies and helps the mommy bear get them toys to play with and helps feed them and pet them when they cry. But most of all, the mommy bear loves all of her little bears.

  • Check with your hospital and see if they have a big siblings class that she can take. They usually start at age 3.
