  • sure why not! She's found the first thing/topic that she can really talk about and make decisions and have opinions about. Ride it out. the first of many strange phases!! :)

  • Yeah its pretty normal. Some kids are just hungry than others. My daughter is now eight and she is thin as a rail. But she is always hungry. She has been this way since she was very little. It can be very annoying at times. She drives me crazy sometimes. But I say its pretty much normal.

  • Just because she talks about it doesn't mean she needs to eat it. I'd explain that cookies and sweets are rewards and should be eaten rarely, so as to make them more enjoyable when they are received. As long as you monitor how much she's eating (3 larger meals or 6 smaller meals throughout the day) then it's no big deal. You've likely taught her more words about food than any other subject so as mySweetjbs points out, it's the first topic she can really talk about.

  • It's normal. I wouldn't worry about it. Kids talk about what they know and she knows food.
