  • I love to get ideas from watching HGTV when they do remodels, and room they simply re-arrange. Also I love to look at Pottery Barn and even Target ads and then go somewhere else and find like-items. My daughter and I NEVER pay full price, neither do we redecorate every year or so, we just add simple smallish items or rearrange to make things feel fresh.

Put fresh color on your walls. If you like the feeling of "warm" use brownish, tannish, yellowish-orangish colors. If you prefer "cool" feeling in the room use blues, greens, whites. Cover pillows on the couch, put out candles, take out all stuff items and make the room feel clean by removing all clutter. :)

  • Color...seriously a good coat of paint will class up any room. And declutter, clutter makes rooms feel dingy when they aren't.
    Paint is cheap too.

  • I just moved and the new place is great, of course lol I have cream walls and some are light coffee colored. I plan on getting these wall stickers that are quotes and adding a bunch of framed photos. Keep it clutter free as a PP says. Orginize closets, bathroom, and kitchens. Cheap lamps can look very classy as long as they go well with the rest of the decor. I have some cool couch and chair pillows from TJMAX. I added some sheer curtians just for more color. Keep it simple. Candles placed on side tables look nice and they are cheap depending. Also if you are looking to buy stuff cheap try Khols locally or JoAnn for clearance stuff. HTH

  • Keep it clean and organized. Fresh paint. Add some classly, colorful details with pillows, curtains. Use baskets to organize and hide clutter. Invest in classic furniture that won't look dated in a few months.
