  • Are you close to St. Louis? I would take him to the zoo or the Magic House. He would love those two!

  • uh...Branson? Go to a map and draw a circle around where you live out as far as you are willing to travel. Then choose the places that look interesting to you and then contact the tourist burueaus online for more info.

  • Try Omaha Nebraska if you've not been there. They have an awesome zoo there, we were stationed there for 3 years and my kids loved it.

Also, the Settle Inn in Bellevue (right outside Omaha) has really fun themed suites for $125 a night. They have themes like Jungle, Camelot, Tropical, etc.

  • We our planning a family vacation to Branson Missouri next spring and Im going to take my son on the ducks and go on the Branson Belle (dinner cruise) or you could rent a boat for around $165 for 4 hrs or if you double that then you can be out for 8 hrs on the boat. Bransons a fun place to be so Im sure you can find many things to do, plus they have miniture ect. If you want to get out of Missouri then you can always head down to Dallas and go to six flags and hurricane harbor or even a little further you can go to San Antonio and take him to Sea world.

  • Jump on the train and come to Chicago. You don't need a car. We have great public transit, zoos, museums, neighborhood festivals, baseball, farmers markets. This really is the best place to be a kid.
