Should Bristol Palin be the ambassator for teen abstinence?

She preaches how her pregnancy was a mistake, & says that others can learn from her.

Do you think she should be the "ambassator" for teen pregnancy prevention?

  • No, but I'd love to see her promoting birth control. Otherwise, it's do as I say, not as I do.

  • Ehhhh why not. We'll never truly know if she's really sorry for it happening or if she's trying to milk the fame her mom gave her.

  • uh no, i think they should have an abstinence ambassator who HASN'T had sex, what's the point in someone who has had sex as a teen to try to tell others not to do it too... that's stupid

  • Yes, the best person to tell someone what can happen is someone who has already walked that road. Many times you see former addicts as drug counselors, or women who have survived abusive relationships helping abused women. So why not a teen mother as a person letting and showing teens what can happen when they are careless? Personally, I would rather take advice from someone who has been there than someone who only has a "book" knowledge.

  • honestly, i'd milk the fame my mom gave me in heart beat if I were her. Plus if she can help others not to have accidents, then good for her.

  • I think it is utterly pointless preaching abstinence to teens, it's much more effective to teach them about safe sex and precautions and laws.

  • I wonder what her kid will think when he is an adult. I know i would be bummed if my mom preached how much of a mistake it was to get pregnant with me, & went on national television saying it too. Just a thought.

  • Yes, as long as she encourages birth control and safe sex..... WHY not... She no longer lives in her Mom's fantasy world....

Bristol Palin in February told Fox News that teens should avoid sex, but abstinence is "not realistic at all."

  • No. It seems like kind of a joke! Abstinence? And she got pregnant? uh uh.
