Blood in stool for first time in 7 months??

I got a call from my daughter's daycare today that my daughter had blood in her stool. She showed me the diaper and everything and to me it seemed like a lot-about half a tsp. Is this considered alot? I took her to the dr and she didn't seem too concerned. She said it could have just been constipation. Obviously it was because now she was crying pretty hard when she passed a stool this evening. But she's never had blood in her stool before when she's been constipated.

  • She may have a hemorrhoid inside her rectum that is bleeding. If the doctor said don't worry then she is fine, she may have torn a little while passing her stool.

  • I agree she prob just tore a lil just like us we have a hard time going and it hurts sometimes we get blood...dont worry mommy she is ok :)
