Do you think Specter was surprised when he was told to get to the back of the class?

The Dem party is foregoing giving Specter seniority immediately, and I'm sure he expected o have it and never negotiated that one issue when on the phone with Obama. What could be going through his head this week?

  • I wonder what he was thinking when he thought they'd let him keep seniority in the first place. The senior Dems on the committees spent about a decade coveting the majority spots before they finally had a chance to milk err fill them again. Did he really think they would just turn over and give them back to someone who already had them for years when they've been waiting so long to get their hands on them? You'd think a politician of all people would know better than to trust another politician!

That would weed them out fast! We'd be replacing about 90% of them.

  • OH, I'm so glad about this. All his aides sent me all kinds of patronizing bull about how Specter appreciated my opinions about the stimulus, blah blah blah. Sucker voted for it anyway. I really hope his career ends over this.

He thought he had a get out of jail free pass.
