  • Technically the sex organs are defined at 16 weeks, but most doctors won't determine the baby's sex until 18-20 weeks. The longer they wait, the better defined they will be, leaving less room for error. My ultrasound was at 20 weeks, and from mothers in my baby's birth group that was the average week they found out too.

    Good luck!

  • When I was pregnant with my son, they said 20 weeks, but when I was scheduling the appt, the tech said its better to wait until between 22 and 24 weeks.

  • I have heard, don't know this to be true, that you can find out as soon as 10 weeks with an over the counter urine test called Intelligender. You pee in the cup, put the cap on, swirl the sample and wait about 10 minutes. If it turns orange (girl) and green (boy) so you know what you're having.

Good Luck. I have 6 more weeks till I find out. I wanna take the test to see.
