  • I've never lived at Fort Hood but had the same type of experience (had to move somewhere without knowing the area, etc...) call a realtor find one online through remax or prduential, tell them the situation and they should be able to give you ideas of neighborhoods and a phone # of at least one apartment community. Also online you could look at some apartment communities (many have their own websites now), pick a few you like and ask the realtor if it's a good area. Realtors do a lot of this because then when you are ready to buy a house they hope you remember them :)

  • Call the housing office at Ft Hood and ask them. They should have good recommendations for people who work well with the military. Heck, they may have available on post housing if you want that.

  • Go to the MOMS tab above and do a search for CM moms in that area and send them a PM and then go to some of the CM mom groups for military wives and also ask them there.

  • Good luck with that. I agree call the housing office and ask for a recommendation. Ft. Hood was number 1 area for Crime ( not sure if it still is but it's up there!)
