Will I go into immediate labor once I have my cerclage removed?

In two weeks i will be 37 weeks gestation, and that is when i will get my cerclage removed. My cervix is currently measuring 1.6. I was just kind of curious on whether I would deliver then or would my cervix possibly hold out.

  • not neccessarily. i had it done and i was pregnant for nearly 3 weeks afterward. i had to be induced and ended up having to have an emergency c-section... but later i found out my pelvis bones aren't wide enough to let a baby through...
