  • cayenne pepper can work. i get ants inside the house- and to the anon, it's not because we are messy. i have a dog whose food bowl sits on the floor and crumbs are inevitable in any home. ants are just looking for food.
anyway, inside the house you can use cornstarch- it won't harm kids or pets. just sprinkle a bit around where you can see them coming in. they take it back to the nest where they can't digest it or something, so it ends up killing them all after a few days. i sprinkled some the other day and within a few hours they were gone from that spot. the next day they found a new spot to come in and i did the cornstarch again. it's been 3 days since, and i have no more ants anywhere that i can tell. good luck! i hate those buggers!
