Paying on eBay

When buying something on eBay, should you go ahead & pay for it right after you commit to the purchase or wait until the item is received? And how does buying the shipping insurance work? It's only $1.70, so I went ahead & got it. Does that mean if it's lost, then the seller will replace them item for free?

  • Normally you have to pay for your item first, they won't ship out until you have made payment. Insurance means you will be paid back for your item lost. Dpends on seller though they may refund or give you another item. I buy from Ebay all the time, totally safe. HTH

  • Often they won't ship till you pay. Not sure on the insurance.
