Chicago trolleys

Does anyone know if the trolleys in Chicago run year round? If they don't, do you know if they are currently running?

  • Sadly, due to money issues, our (insert your favorite negative verb here) mayor has discontinued the free trolleys. I can answer any questions you may have about Chicago and getting around.

  • I didn't even realize there were trolleys. I just thought trains and taxis.

  • Until this year, Chicago had free trolleys that ran through downtown, to Chinatown and to Lincoln Park Zoo. they ran on the weekends year round, and daily during the summer. While the busses and trains are great for getting around, the trolleys were quicker and smelled better.
