My tail bone hurts, could it be because of the baby?

I haven't fallen down or hurt my tail bone in anyway recently and yet when I sit it feels really sore and its hard to stand up because it hurts. I have no idea why it is hurting..could it be because of how the baby is laying or something? Any ideas?

  • I think its because of the way the baby is laying right now. That happend to me last week and it hurt so bad that i was hobeling around the house. It hurt to walk to sit even lay down. It only lasted about 3 days with me but it felt a lot longer. If it gets to bad i would go to the doctors just in case i almost did because i was in tears from the pain.

  • I'm 30 weeks btw. It doesn't hurt while walking or laying down, just when sitting :( I don't see the doctor for another week.

  • i am almost 32 wks, and my bottom most def hurts when i sit .
It must be a pregnant thing.

  • This is my third pregnancy, and my tailbone has hurt through all three. My new best friend is my donut cushion. It takes the pressure off your tailbone and redistributes it to your butt cheeks (for lack of a better term). I definitely recommend buying one!
