If I were to get an X-ray of my back, will my milk be affected?

I have been having back problems, and my doctor recommended I get an x-ray. The thing is that my baby will not drink from a bottle, whether I pump breast milk, or try to give her formula. The doctor said that it shouldn't cause the milk to get any radiation, but that I should do my own research (which sounded like a big red flag to me). So what do you think? Was I right to turn the X-ray's down?

  • Personally I would just pump and dump immediately after the x-ray and feed right before so she isn't hungry for a while. I had dental x-rays done and the research I read on them said they were fine, but my boobs were covered with the lead sheild thing and yours wouldn't be.
