How can I get mildew off a cedar porch swing?

  • a bleach treatment or any mold and mildew cleaner will work, then sand the swing down and weather treat it to avoid the problem in the future.

  • get a good steal wool brush or a hard bristle brush to scrub it. Make sure you let the treatment set for a little bit then scrub it and wash it off with soapy water and then sand it or weather treat it.

  • Pressure washer

  • 1/4 cup white vinegar
    3/4 cup warm tap water
    1 tablespoon baking soda
    10 drops of tea tree oil (antibacterial, antifungal, etc.)
    2 drops oil of lavender (optional) (antiseptic and smells nice)
