  • Well you bleed right after having a baby and that can last up to 8 weeks and then you could get a period right after that or it could be a month. There is no set time. Some get it monthly while others bleed for 6 weeks go off for a few days then bleed for another week or two.

  • That depends entirely on the person and whether you are bfing or ffing. I breastfed and didn't get my period until I dropped to 2 feeding per day which was 9 months with DS #1 and 12 months with DS #2.

  • It depends on if you breast feed. I bf my son exclusively at first, and then weaned to a few times a day. My period came back when he was 5 1/2 months old. I was still nursing, just not as much.

  • My sister breast fed and got her period each month about 7 weeks after having my niece and she stopped at 4 months so bf or ff can make a difference but not always.

  • 7 months. I stopped breastfeeding at 6 months and then about a month later (maybe a bit longer), my period showed up again.
