  • If she is okay and not vomiting then I wouldn't really worry about it.

  • Symptoms in children
    Head trauma is very common in young children. But concussions can be difficult to recognize in infants and toddlers because they can't readily communicate how they feel. Nonverbal clues of a concussion may include:

    â– Listlessness, tiring easily
    â– Irritability, crankiness
    â– Change in eating or sleeping patterns
    â– Lack of interest in favorite toys
    â– Loss of balance, unsteady walking

  • concussion signs are
    * Confusion
    * Amnesia
    * Headache
    * Dizziness
    * Ringing in the ears
    * Nausea or vomiting
    * Slurred speech
    * Fatigue
    these are signs of a concussion a couple days after injury:

    * Memory or concentration problems
    * Sensitivity to light and noise
    * Sleep disturbances
    * Irritability
    * Depression
    my son fell out of the cart at walmart one day and landed on his side and head really hard.
    he was fine after a few minutes. if she is not vomiting then i think she will be just fine. give her tylenol for a couple of days to help with headache.

  • If she still says it hurts, I'd take her in. Better safe than sorry and that was a long fall.

    And use this as a chance to tell her she is not allowed to ride in the basket anymore. If she doesn't want to listen point out the picture right on the seat flap that clearly states it's not allowed. Even my 2 year old understands that picture.
