Gassy Baby

My son is 5 wks old. He is on Similac Advance Shield Formula. He passes gas alot. He is fussy at times. We have been giving him gas drops but it doesn't seem to help him passing gas. Is this normal? Do I need to have his doctor change the formula?

  • Our little guy was SO gassy during his first few months! One of the nurses in the hospital showed us the "bicycle".. lay your son on his back and hold each foot in your hands. "Pedal" his legs like a bicycle for a few rotations, then push his knees up to his chest and hold it for a couple seconds. Repeat this a few times and it should help push things out and relieve his little tummy. It worked well for us!
