  • Just take the bottles and throw them away. Out of site out of mind. She'll move past that once they aren't readily accessible.

  • She should have no more than 24 ounces of milk each day. Less if she is prone to constipation. And she should have no more than 4 ounces of juice each day.

You can switch her to sippy cups for everything.
You can give her a bottle at naptime and bedtime only (water only) and deal with that bottle later.
You can let her have a bottle of water any time she wants but limit her milk to meals only. And even then, don't let her have it until she has eaten some food.

You have to evaluate her personality and your tolerance for tantrums when choosing. There is no "right" answer, just what seems to work best for your family. The only 'wrong" is to let her have milk after her teeth are brushed.

  • use tough love. throw away all the bottles and only get sippicups. she may refuse to drink for awhile, but, they eventually cave in... pediatricians recommend children to be off the bottle or pacifier by 18 months old. good luck!

  • When mine was 12 months old . I took her to the store and let her pick out her sippy cup's and came home and we got all her bottles and put them in the trash.the first night without her bottle was a little fight she didnt want it but i keep giving her sippy cup back to her . but after that she forgot about the bottles . and on her food she eat's so well i just feed her apples, oranges, and garber snacks veg's at first now she eats anything and everthing .you might have to play around with food till you know what your child likes .and with her milk she only get's it in the morning ,noon and night . other times its juice and water . it just takes time good luck
