can schools let kids out early

this all seems 2 impossable 2 believe but the other day it was early release kids get out at 12:30 well the teachers decided that they want 2 all go 2 the movies so they made kids go home at 12:00 the kids were waiting for the buses for 30+ mins in hot ass weather the kids who get picked up were waiting for there rides in the heat as well and on top of that children were denied the phone now what in the hell is that can they do that well my ? also is does anyone know what to do cuz when i tried staff all stuck 2gether like glue not only that students are afraid of one particular secratary shes not even a teacher please anyone know anything about what 2 do

  • No, they can't do that. Get ahold of the school board.

  • Children cannot be left unattended like that. Contact the school board immediately. I would even consider contacting the police. That is negligence and abandonment.

  • No they cannot do that, call the school board and complain, immediately. The only way they can release early without prior notice is if there is bad weather, the heat goes out, etc. And in that case, parents must be notified to come and pick up their kids or that school is being released early due to weather.

  • The school board or the superintendent would be the next step, possible with the threat of the local news looking into it.

  • i was thinking the news to and thanks to ur responses im still at a loss u know how mostly docters stick with docters and so on, well' teachers and there staff do as well i mean this school is so mest up in a million ways and im just blank on what 2 do again thanks and any other info anyone has im open 2 listen

  • I would go up the chain of command. If they won't do anything at the school then go to the district about it. If the district doesn't do anything then take it to the news. They are not suppose to let the kids out earlier than scheduled unless there is an emergency of some kind. I would not just let this slide by.

  • its a public school it has 4th-5th and 6th grades
