This is going to sound stupid, but what kinds of food should my 10 month old be eating, and how many bottles a day should she be having a day?

I try and feed her some baby food stage 3, but she doesnt seem to ever like any of it. and she basically eats bottles all day. When should i introduce food other than baby food in a jar?

  • Give your baby table foods. The stage 3 foods are really nasty, my son wouldn't eat them either.
Anything you can mash easily with your fingers your child should be able to eat.
Things my son eats: small pieces of deli meats, fish, burger, chicken, cooked veges, soft fruits, bread, tortilla, potatoes, rice, noodles, yogurt
He pretty much eats part of whatever I eat for lunch and dinner

  • I introduced "normal" food to both of my kiddos all ready at the 10 month stage. Once they starte eating more foods, they will usually drink less bottles.......

  • Once she gets the taste for real food, not baby food, she will want to eat more. Just introduce little things, like green beans, chopped banana, steamed carrots, chopped up. I would also try getting her a sippy cup, I did that with all of ours at 10 months with no problems..

  • It depends on each baby, actually. Mine were on all table foods by 9 months.

  • I would steam & puree the veggies, some fruits (applesauce, mashed bananas, pearsauce, peachsauce), yogurt, string cheese or yellow cheese. Try giving some of your table food for a try. The size and texture of the food is what matters. Make sure its soft enough and small enough so she doesn't choke on it and doesn't have a hard time chewing it. I never gave the gerber because I didn't like the smell of it.

  • When she is in her high chair start putting some food on her tray. Bite sized chunks of soft food that she can pick up and feed to herself. Soft ripe banana, avocado, cooked sweet potato, peas, small pieces of pasta etc.
