It's not really that you don't get paid, it's more like it's impossible for make anything. You put in alot of time and effort, for really nothing. Also, I found that it was a way of spamming you. Your email gets loaded with spam because they are really searching for email addresses and your home addresses as well, as these are all requirements for most surveys.
If you'd like to make a little money, do it legitimately. I have put together a series of work at home articles, containing great information about How to Work at Home, and several links and ideas you might enjoy reading.
